Soulmates Through All Time: An Ode to Edward Blue Williams, is a fictitious, historical romance. Betty Rose Williams reflects upon her journals dated 1927-1948, writing a poetic ode to her soulmate Edward Blue Williams. Within Betty’s sing-song rhyme, the reader may experience resonance, yearning and an undying love.
Blue was Betty Rose’s rescuer and protector, and she his nurturer and healer. This is a rare share about a love evolving through decades, when two people learned the value of emotionally transparent love.
EXCERPT
1937
Before you left you held me.
“Now I’ll call you my Sunshine.”
You whispered ever gently:
“We’ll be soulmates for all time.
With my love in a letter
I will call you near again.
Our home it will be better.
You’ll hear from me soon my friend.”
I had my doubts, heart hollowed,
But of course you kept your word.
Out of the town I followed
To a kinder wonder-world.
